Vilniaus merui Remigijui Šimašiui viešai pareiškus, kad per šių metų žiemos šventes sostinėje galėtų būti įžiebta kukliausia kalėdinė eglė, turizmo verslo atstovai sako, jog tai padarytų didelę žalą šalies įvaizdžiui.
Dėl koronaviruso stipriai nukentėjo turizmo verslas, iki pandemijos sukurdavęs 5 proc. Lietuvos BVP. Skaičiuojama, kad šis verslas neteko beveik pusės darbuotojų, o dar sumažėjus turistų srautams gali nutikti, kad dalis turizmo įmonių turės nutraukti savo veiklą.
Lietuvos žmonių kelionės į užsienį atsigauna, tačiau į Lietuvą vis dar atvyksta labai mažai turistų, pastebi verslo atstovai. Jie ragina labiau reklamuoti Lietuvą kaip turistinę kryptį.
Lietuvių kūrybiškumui ribų nėra – tą pandemijos metu įrodė sunkmetį išgyvenantis turizmo verslas. Pasitinkant Kovo 11-ąją, Lietuvos Nepriklausomybės atkūrimo dieną, „Keliauk Lietuvoje“ kviečia apžvelgti vienuolika 2020 m. ir 2021 m. pradžioje įgyvendintų vietinio turizmo iniciatyvų.
Gruodžio pabaigoje šalyje prasidėjus vakcinavimo nuo COVID-19 procesui, viešbučiai teigia, kad vakcina prisidės prie sektoriaus gaivinimo, tačiau svarbu apmąstyti ir kitas priemones, kurios skatins turistus atvykti į šalį.
Koronaviruso pandemija, itin skaudžiai paveikusi turizmo verslą, tuo pat metu parodė jo potencialą, sako prezidentas Gitanas Nausėda. Anot jo, tai rodo žmonių, per karantiną iš naujo atradusių Lietuvą, elgesys.
Vyriausybės ketinimas stabdyti maitinimo įstaigų bei SPA veiklą visiškai sužlugdytų turizmo verslą, sako Lietuvos viešbučių ir restoranų asociacijos prezidentė.
Nuo koronaviruso krizės ypač nukentėjusiam verslui Vyriausybė trečiadienį nusprendė skubiai skirti papildomą pagalbą. Turizmo verslui ketinama skirti bent 45 mln. eurų, mažoms, iki devynių darbuotojų, turinčioms įmonėms – iki 100 mln. eurų, o žemės ūkiui – 52 mln. eurų subsidijų.
